April 21 6:30 pm - Meet and Greet at Rec Hall. Bring your own drinks and snacks
May 12 "Honoring Mom" 10-11 am card decorating -- 7 pm wine tasting and music at the beach
May 26 Memorial Day Party- Cook out and DJ -Hamburger and hotdogs supplied. Bring a side dish and desert to share.
June 16 "Honoring Dad" 10-11 am card decorating - 7-9pm kids night at the Rec Hall with a movie, popcorn, pop & pizza.
June 30 (4th of July) 10-11 am last minute voting for home improvement contest, 11 am Golf Card and bike parade, 1-3 pm carnival for kids. 6 pm Dinner provided (please bring a desert to share), 7:30-11pm Island Vibe Live band at Rec Hall
July 21 Christmas in July - wear your ugly Christmas clothes! Best decorated trailer wins $100. 8 pm Santa at the Beach, 9 pm christmas Night Hay ride & Golf Cart Parade
August 4 Pig Roast "Fiesta" 1-4 pm $10 per person. Margarita Contest (winner takes $100) bring a Mexican dish to pass. Silent auction, 50/0 raffle, Music
Sept 3 10 am Bloody Mary Bar Brunch, Corn Hole tournament. 7:30-11pm Dance Party with DJ
Oct 13 Halloween in the Park 10-noon Pumpkin decorating at the rec hall. 6 pm Hay ride, 6:30pm trick-or-treating, At Dark - Scary Haunted Hay ride (apple cider, donuts, and deserts needed)
Oct ? 12 pm End of year Chili Dump TBD on date
All Events will take place in the new recreation building unless otherwise specified. Watch web-site and sign for any changes. There will be 50/50 at all events.
To help stimulate further improvement Lakewood will be having an Improvement Contest. If you want to build a deck, build a shed, paint your home, put in landscaping, etc, then this is the time to do it. This year will operate a little differently. Pictures and voting will mostly take place on the Lakers Facebook page. Send in your entries by messaging Brian & Nina Plumadore or Vince & Rita Whitacre. Exterior pictures only. Two votes per trailer will be allowed. To vote you must also message the Plumadores/Whitacres. All entries are due June 9th. Live voting will happen between 10-11am June 30th. Make a poster board if you want your pictures displayed for live voting. First prize will be $500, second prize will be $300, and third prize will be $200.
