April 29       Euchre Tournament- bring a snack 7:00 p.m.

 

May 13       Bingo 12:30-2:00p.m.

 

May 27       Memorial Day Party- pot luck(bring a dish) 50s theme D.J. and dancing 7-11p.m.

 

June 3       Wine and Canvas party? We need someone to lead this. If interested contact us!

 

June 17     Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast (everyone is welcome) 9-11:00a.m.

 

July  1       Golf cart parade is back! Hayride, golf cart & bike parade at 11:30 a.m. Carnival games and more at 12:00noon!  Candy and pop donations needed. Help is need to run carnival games.​ 6:00 P.M. Potluck dinner with meat, veggies, & potatoes provided by Kevin & Joseph. Bring a dish to share. 7:30-11:00p.m. Live Band- Island Vibe

August 5      Beach Party/Wine tasting (bring wine to share) DJ 8:00-11

 

Sept 2 or 3   Labor Day pot luck.  Hot dogs and Corn roast provided.  Bring a dish to share. D.J. and dancing 7-11:00P.M. Official date will be posted later

 

Sept 23    Bingo 4:30-6:00 P.M.

 All Events will take place in the new recreation building unless otherwise specified.  Watch web-site and sign for any changes. There will be 50/50 at all events.

 

Improvement Contest

To help stimulate further improvement Lakewood will be having an Improvement Contest. If you want to build a deck, build a shed, paint your home, put in landscaping, etc, then this is the time to do it. In order to enter the contest, stop by the office and drop off "before" pictures of the area you want to improve along with a description of what you are doing. When the project is done, drop off "after" pictures at the office. The deadline for the contest and "after" pictures is June 30th. The pictures of each project will be put on display July 4th at the park. This is where everyone has the chance to vote for their favorite improvement. Beside the display of pictures will be a box with a slot in it. This is where you need to cast your vote. Simply take a piece of paper, write your name and lot number along with lot number of your favorite improvement. Only one vote per lot please. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded on July 2nd at 6p.m. at dinner and the dance party. First prize will be $500, second prize will be $300, and third prize will be $100.
